Y'all killed it! According to Joel there were supposed to be special beasts, but after around half an hour of playing I couldn't get any to spawn. Appears to be an outstanding bug?   Had a lot of fun finding the balance between going to get batteries and aiming the lighthouse though!

The art was also fantastic, the beast's death animation in particular is very satisfying.

I think my only real complaint is that I wish there was a pause menu. In a survival game, being able to take a step away and then return to continue a run is a big deal. (Though I understand being a jam you probably didn't expect anyone to play more than ~5 minutes or so.)

Kudos to the team!

KNOWN ISSUES:

The game is supposed to send you to the game over screen when you die, not boot you straight into the main menu. This is something we forgot to include in the final build before the deadline.

We tried  to slightly modify the rotating level mechanic to be more consistent, but in turn it sometimes cancels itself when you try to rotate it. Just keep trying and eventually it will stick.
